Conservative, Liberal, Libertarian or Confused?

If you are conservative, you are a racist and a terrorist. If you are liberal, you are a baby killer and support any means necessary acceptable as long as your side “wins”. If you are libertarian, you won’t pick a side and therefore are a problem.

It’s amazing looking at the events in America for the past twelve months.

Hope in Chaos

Our world is upside down. Socializing anywhere but online is now frowned upon and in several places around the world, it is against local “laws” (I use the term loosely, as these are better described as dictates by local government officials) due to the Coronavirus. We are fast closing in on the first year of “two weeks to slow the spread”.  These mandates have radically changed our lives.  We can have an offline discussion about whether or not the mandates are effective – I’m not going to try to make that case here, I have more important items to cover.

During the current pandemic and all of the local mandates and guidelines of staying home, social distancing, or wearing a mask – we had an election that included on the ballot the race for President of the United States.  You may feel that the race was run fairly, or you may feel that the race was wrought with fraud.

“The New Normal”

We’ve all heard this term – “the new normal”, although no one can quite articulate what it means. Do we all stay in our homes until told otherwise? Do we wear masks and limit interactions with anyone outside our family units?  No one really knows, and that seems like it is by design.

Designed by some James Bond level mastermind set on world domination? Yes, actually. However, I’m probably not talking about the person that just popped into your head.  The person I am talking about is the anti-Christ, Beezlebub, Satan – aka: the devil.

Activism and Christianity

I have several drafts developed where I have worked over nearly a week to prepare a proper study on the current ‘movement’ that has now circled the globe.  For those not  reading this during and experiencing the Black Lives Matter movement that has swept the globe, you will be able to simply search the internet for ‘Black Lives Matter 2020’ to famimliarize yourself with the context of this post.

It is currently in early June 2020 and recent announcements include the defunding of the Minneapolis, MN police department.  Not a portion, but the entire department.  Politicians have gotten behind this movement and apparently intend to move forward with the plan.

I have read a post on social media that specifically tells Christians not to use these events (including protests and riots) to try to love people or spread the Gospel.  This idea has even received approval from several wildly influential Bible teachers and likely will be followed soon by pastors and other religious leaders.  Continue reading to see what my study of scripture has taught me about these events…

Waiting and praying

In a world where it seems that we are living a new chapter of Revelation every single day, how are we supposed to react as Christians and still lead others to Christ – including straying Christians?
